According to actress Eva Amurri, finding the right dress wasn’t too dissimilar to finding the right guy.
Amurri, who is engaged to Fox Soccer Channel commentator Kyle Martino, told People,”I tried on a ton of dresses and it was a weird, long process. I thought that I might like a certain one but I wasn’t really sold.”
Amurri continued, “Then I tried on my dress and I just fell in love with it. It’s almost like dating: ‘I think this is the guy,’ and then you actually meet the guy and you’re like, ‘I don’t know what I was thinking about that [other] guy.”
Despite her struggles finding the perfect dress, it seems Amurri, daughter of Susan Sarandon, has help from her fiancé for the big day. “He’s been a good mix of ‘Do whatever you want’ and ‘I care.’” That’s nice to hear!

As the impending nuptials of celebrity Kim Kardashian and her basketball playing fiancé loom ever closer, Kim has revealed that she has a wedding dress and it is designed by none other than Vera Wang.
Kim had initially wanted to keep the designer a secret until the actual wedding day, but she commented on her blog this week that, “Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years, so when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of.”
Kim continued saying, “No one designs gowns the way she does! I know that Vera can make my dream come true and create the most perfect gown for my special day.”

As the stunning news of Amy Winehouse’s untimely death broke, it was her boyfriend Reg Traviss that flew into the spotlight. Her heartbroken lover has been mourning her death, but is he also mourning the end of his engagement?
UK newspaper The Sun reported that the singer had accepted a marriage proposal from Traviss, complete with a diamond engagement ring, just a few weeks before her death.
Traviss, 35, had also told the paper that Winehouse was not on any kind of drug or alcohol binge before her death, and that it was some kind of freak occurrence that took the 27-year-old singer’s life.
The latest star of the TV show Bachelorette chose her man on last night’s season finale. Ashley Hebert said that her heart belongs to JP Rosenbaum as he proposed to her on the finale in Fiji.
Rosenbaum wasn’t the only contestant to propose. Ben Flajnik, the runner-up, also got down on one knee and proposed to Ashley with an engagement ring. Flajnik said he was stunned by the response he got.
Hebert, 27, refused his proposal, saying, “I’m sorry. I know this was unexpected, and I want you to know this is the hardest thing I’ve done here. This is not easy.” Flajnik responded by walking away in anger and silence. He then said, “You can’t leave something like this on good terms. It’s not possible. I’m in utter shock and disbelief.”
While that moment was difficult, Hebert collected herself for Rosenbaum’s proposal. She was thrilled to say yes and receive the Neil Lane designed diamond engagement ring.

Actor Jason London has tied the knot with his fiancée Sofia Karstens. According to People, the couple were married in Karstens’ hometown of North Hero, VT.
London, best known for his role in the indie hit Dazed and Confused, beamed about the wedding, saying, “It’s been wonderful. I was in a daze. I couldn’t believe it was [my wedding]. It was a fairy tale.”
The actor continued saying, “I’m not a mushy guy, but I was really mushy that weekend. I wish we could have slowed down time a little bit. It goes by so fast.”
The couple have been dating for two years, and they announced their engagement in November 2010.

Since the couple began dating, they were surrounded by negative press, mainly due to James’ infidelity and divorce from the lovely Sandra Bullock. As a serial cheater, it seemed strange that Von D would be so willing to marry him, but she said ‘yes’ to his proposal.
Kat insisted that their relationship involved another level, and Jesse opened up favorably about her in his book American Outlaw.
But it would seem whatever that level was wasn’t enough to keep the relationship going. Kat took to Twitter to make the announcement, “I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that.”

Nick Lachey and his bride said their ‘I dos’ on July 15 on the cliffs of the British Virgin Island’s Necker Island, but they prepared their own vows for the ceremony.
In a very modern, 21st century twist, Nick and Vanessa wrote their vows by first Googling a ‘how-to write your own wedding vows guide!’
Lachey, 37, said, “Vanessa and I have decided to write our own vows mainly because it makes it more personal, more meaningful when the words you’re saying to one another come from your heart.”
Since the couple got engaged, their wedding plans had been very secret. But their new show on TLC, Nick and Vanessa’s Dream Wedding, is sure to give us all the details!

Actress Heather Matarazzo, best known for her role as Dawn Wiener in the indie film Welcome to the Dollhouse, is planning to marry longtime girlfriend Caroline Murphy.
Matarazzo and Murphy plan to wed in New York, after the state recently passed legislation legalizing same-sex marriage. Matarazzo commented, “My eyes and spirit have opened up since I found someone that I get to share my life with.”
The pair have been engaged for three years, but they are only now planning their dream wedding with the passing of the law.
Reg Traviss, boyfriend to the recently deceased singer Amy Winehouse, is said to be struggling to come to terms with her “untimely” death on July 23.
The petite singer struggled as well, but it was drugs and alcohol that were her enemies. Her heartbroken boyfriend, 35, has been left behind to grieve for the woman he referred to as “my dear love.”
Speaking to the U.K. newspaper The Sun, Traviss said, “The last three days have been hell. I want to thank all those who are mourning the loss of Amy – such a beautiful, brilliant person and my dear love.”
The pair had been dating for two years when her passing occurred. And despite her addiction issues, Traviss dismissed reports that her final days were one big binge.
He continued to The Sun, “She has been full of life and so upbeat recently, exercising everyday and doing yoga. This terrible thing that happened is like an accident.” He also said she was really looking forward to attending a friend’s upcoming wedding just before hear untimely death.
Private funeral services were held Tuesday in London.

How has it taken this long for Shannen Doherty to have a reality TV show? We’re not sure, but the good news is, we won’t have to wait much longer.
WEtv is producing a reality show that will follow Doherty as she plans her wedding to celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko. The couple will also be in the middle of renovating their Malibu home.
The show’s production will begin in August, and (hopefully) track the couple all the way to a season finale wedding. We say hopefully because Shannen has already had two marriages that didn’t last a year, and another engagement that didn’t make it to a wedding.
The stress of a wedding and home renovation will surely cause Doherty to lose her cool. Luckily it will be caught on camera!
