Holly Hunter, 52, actress extraordinaire (Raising Arizona, Broadcast News, The Piano…the list goes on, but she currently stars in the hit series Saving Grace on TNT), was recently seen sporting a hefty ring on a very important finger on the set of Craig Ferguson’s late night program, The Late Late Show. Although she and long-time boyfriend, TV director Gordon MacDonald (Sanctuary, the Stargate series), had twin boys back in 2006, their nine-year relationship has yet to include wedding bells, although apparently her single status may be soon to change.

Despite some playful prodding by Ferguson, who pointed to the ring, asking, “Do you have some news?”, Hunter refused to confirm or deny an engagement, instead playing her cards close to the vest with some playful banter of her own, admitting only that it came from “a very confident man”. The ring is reportedly quite large, and Ferguson teased, “He used to have money at one point, clearly. Probably not so much any more!” Hunter responded only with a smile.
Hunter has yet to reveal any wedding plans, or even announce the engagement (although the cat is clearly out of the bag). However, if the tone of the wedding is anything like the ring, it’s bound to be an extravagant affair!
