Is anyone at all surprised that the relationship between Kat Von D and Jesse James didn’t work out? No, I didn’t think so. The couple have now broken up and broken off their engagement.
Since the couple began dating, they were surrounded by negative press, mainly due to James’ infidelity and divorce from the lovely Sandra Bullock. As a serial cheater, it seemed strange that Von D would be so willing to marry him, but she said ‘yes’ to his proposal.
Kat insisted that their relationship involved another level, and Jesse opened up favorably about her in his book American Outlaw.
But it would seem whatever that level was wasn’t enough to keep the relationship going. Kat took to Twitter to make the announcement, “I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that.”
Oh well, another one bites the dust.

Julie Benz, former star of Showtime’s hit show Dexter, is engaged.
People confirmed that the 39-year-old actress is engaged to her long-term boyfriend Rich Orosco, a 38-year-old marketing executive.
Orosco popped the big question on Sunday at their home in Los Angeles. The engagement ring is nothing to laugh at either. It’s a customized Kwiat cushion-cut diamond with a platinum ring, diamond frame, and mill-grain edge band.
Benz tells People, “It was absolutely perfect. The proposal was simple and beautiful.”
Just to top things off, Orosco planned a surprise Mexican-themed engagement party right after he asked for her hand in marriage. 60 of their closest friends and family attended the surprise party to celebrate.

Actress Judy Greer has said ‘yes’ to her boyfriend, Dean Johnson, when he proposed on a recent vacation together.
Greer’s rep told E! Online that Johnson popped the question while the couple were visiting romantic Napa Valley, California. Greer was quoted as saying, “I’m really excited. I’m so happy.”
The 35-year-old actress took Johnson as her date to the first annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards over the weekend. Greer was smiling and sporting her brand new engagement ring.
Greer has been acting for years, and although she may not be a household name, you’ve seen her many films. She often plays the ‘best friend’ role to the lead in films and TV, including What Women Want, Californication, and Arrested Development.

The Runaway Bride
Famed octogenarian Hugh Hefner was unceremoniously dumped by his 25-year-old fiancée Crystal Harris. The Playboy founder and the blonde playmate were prepared to get married this weekend only for her to call it off in the end.
Hefner proposed to Harris with a beautiful engagement ring over Christmas last year after they began dating in 2009.
Harris posted a statement on her website that read: “After much deep reflection and thought, I have decided to end my engagement with Hef. I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward.”
Hef, as he is affectionately referred to, made his statement on Twitter, “The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart.”
The breakup may seem a bit out of left field, but then not many really expected them to go through with the wedding anyway. The age difference alone, which is 60 years, should be enough to make them want to part ways.

It’s official. Sorry fellas, but the beautiful Kim Kardashian is engaged. The reality star said ‘yes’ to her New Jersey Nets boyfriend, Kris Humphries.
According to People, Humphries, 26, proposed at Kim’s Beverly Hills home on May 18. The lanky hoops star spelled out “WILL YOU MARRY MY?” in rose petals before he got down on one knee.
Kardashian, 30, was surprised by the proposal saying, “I didn’t expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”
Kardashian now gets to sport a massive 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring on her finger.
This is Humphries’ first marriage and Kardashian’s second after marrying music producer Damon Thomas in 2000, but divorcing only four years later. There are no wedding plans yet.

Bling-Bling
After the news broke of Sir Paul McCartney’s newest engagement to girlfriend Nancy Shevell, everyone wanted to know what the ring looked like.
Who else but celebrity jeweler Neil Lane would be the one to work with McCartney, 68, on his ring. Lane said that the singer wanted an engagement ring that was, “very special, different, and rare. He was very excited and very serious about finding the right one because he wanted something truly exceptional.”
Exceptional is probably an understatement. The former Beatle choose a rare 5 carat round central diamond art deco ring set in platinum. There are strips of black onyx along the sides.
Lane continues, “It has a beautiful vintage feel to it. Very romantic, elegant, and glamorous but with a bit of cool glitz and rock and roll.”
Sounds like a stunner!

Hudson Reveals Engagement Ring
While many will be paying attention to the engagement and now wedding of the royal Kate, actress Kate Hudson recently announced her engagement. The blond actress said ‘yes’ to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.
Hudson spilled the news on the Today Show after Matt Lauer pointed out the massive rock on her left hand.
Is is being reported by UsMagazine.com that the stunning engagement ring is platinum-set with an emerald-cut center diamond, with tapered baguettes either side and weighs approximately nine carats. The value right now is being estimated at around $200,000.
An expert is quoted as saying that the significance of the ring is also very interesting. “This type of engagement ring style is classic and timeless. The emerald cut stones are typically top quality. They’re usually set in platinum because it’s a naturally white metal and won’t cast any color onto the diamond.”

Kate Hudson Engaged
As a guest on the Today Show on April 27, Kate Hudson announced her engagement to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.
Matt Lauer noticed and wasn’t shy to point out the large diamond rock on Hudson’s finger.
Hudson laughed and told him, “It just happened a week ago, I’m so glad you noticed. I haven’t really announced it and I felt like the announcing thing feels so silly, and I was just waiting for someone to notice.”
Kate kept quiet about the details of the proposal, preferring to keep the touching moment between her and Bellamy. She also said of her new fiancé, “He’s a beautiful man, and I’m excited.”
The couple will not only be preparing for a wedding, but are also expecting their first child together this summer. Hudson has one son, Ryder, 7, from her previous marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
