As the impending nuptials of celebrity Kim Kardashian and her basketball playing fiancé loom ever closer, Kim has revealed that she has a wedding dress and it is designed by none other than Vera Wang.
Kim had initially wanted to keep the designer a secret until the actual wedding day, but she commented on her blog this week that, “Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years, so when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of.”
Kim continued saying, “No one designs gowns the way she does! I know that Vera can make my dream come true and create the most perfect gown for my special day.”
We can’t wait to see what the dress looks like!

We hear wedding bells…well, at least we can hear them from afar. Kim Kardashian and her basketball stud Kris Humphries have happily picked a date for their much publicized wedding. The catch is, everyone involved and invited has been sworn to secrecy.
Close family friend to the Kardashians, Kathie Lee Gifford of the Today show, revealed, “I’ve been told a particular date.” But she refused to give any more details about the nuptials.
An insider revealed to Popeater.com that “the date that close friends of the family are being given is toward the beginning of August. They are looking at private estates in Los Angeles, since location will make it much easier for guests flying in to attend.”
Who knows if any of these rumors are true, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough as the wedding is probably destined to be aired on TV.

Only a day after the engagement was announced and already the Kardashians are boasting about how Kim’s wedding will be the biggest celebrity wedding ever.
After the world just finished witnessing probably the most grandiose wedding in the form of Prince William and Kate Middleton, a friend of Kim’s tells Popeater, “Kim’s wedding is going to be bigger than Tom and Katie. In fact, she wants it to be bigger than William and Kate’s.”
The grand statement is backed up by a source who told OK! Magazine that Kim “sees herself as a bigger celebrity than Kate Middleton.”
This may be hard to live up to, but it’s not as if the Kardashians, especially Kim, are at all low key. They’ve built an empire on exploiting their lives for the entertainment of others, so it comes as no surprise this wedding should be any different.
No wedding date has been set yet, but we can’t wait to see what kind of spectacular stops the couple will pull out.
