Dave Annable and Odette Yustman

Dave Annable says that his proposal to girlfriend Odette Yustman was a no-brainer. The 30-year-old star of Brothers & Sisters told People Magazine, “I knew, and when you know, you know.”

Although Annable knew that Yustman was the one, he was still terrified when he proposed and he doesn’t take marriage lightly. When he decided to purchase the engagement ring he knew he was going to need some backup so Annable brought his mother with him. Annable purchased the engagement ring from jeweler Martin Katz and popped the question in Santa Barbara, California over Valentine’s Day weekend. He chose the same spot where they “fell in love” to propose.

When Annable pulled out the engagement ring, Yustman’s response was, “That’s not real.” Annable expected a much different reaction but Yustman was more confused than anything. Yustman realized that the proposal was in fact real and said yes! Yustman began doing cartwheels and screaming.

The couple plan to walk down the aisle later this year.
