The newest Real Housewife of New York, Sonja Morgan, is not afraid to make waves. She describes herself as “the straw that swirls the drink.” That’s a bold statement, but it comes from a bold woman. Sonja is the quintessential housewife who loves to shop, spend all her ex-husband’s money on diamonds and high end designer labels, and shag new and younger men. She’ll add some much needed spice to the Housewife dish.

Morgan, the former wife to the heir of J.P. Morgan, won the ex-wife lotto. But that being said, she still came up through her own determination and smarts. A mere 12 years ago, the then Sonya Tremont was just a hostess at a midtown restaurant. She made a name for herself amongst the New York money men as being beautiful, charming, and savvy. She used these connections to build a network all over the world and made her way into business…as well as into the arms of a very rich ex-hubby.

It’s about time the show picked up someone with some sass and verve. The cattiness was starting to drive everyone nuts. Jill needs to get over Bethenny already. Come on Sonja, we’re ready for you!

It’s about time Bethenny Frankel lived up to her title, as one of the most popular Real Housewives of New York. She finally walked down the aisle with her boyfriend of one year, Jason Hoppy. After two seasons on the show, the 39 year old was in a bit of a rush to tie the knot. Not only was she ecstatic about the union, but she’s also 7 months pregnant! The two met last year, and Frankel became pregnant in October.

The couple got married at the Four Seasons in New York on Sunday. She tweeted soon after, “I’m a real housewife! On way to honeymoon. Best night of my life. Your messages were so beautiful and sentimental.” The guests included some of Bethenny’s castmates from Real Housewives, although her best frenemy, Jill Zarin, did not attend.

Guests exclaimed it was the Rolls Royce of weddings. They dined on lobster ravioli, sirloin steak, fish, and red velvet cake. Luckily for those of us not on the guest list, we’ll still be able to see all the action as the wedding was captured for Frankel’s upcoming Housewives spinoff, Bethenny’s Getting Married.

The popular Bravo show The Real Housewives of New York is back and airs tonight. Here is some of what you have to look forward to this season with the ladies.

Ramona Singer has launched her jewelry line and it is doing surprisingly well on the Home Shopping Network. She uses different gemstones including diamonds, topaz, and onyx and combines them with sterling silver and vermeil.

Bethenny Frankel is pregnant and engaged (click to see her diamond engagement ring). Supposedly Frankel leaves halfway through the season and she is getting her own series on Bravo, Bethenny’s Getting Married.

LuAnn de Lesseps, The Countess that everyone loves to hate, has hinted that her dating life will be featured on the show. It might also shock you to hear that de Lesseps is presently working on her singing career (hopefully we will get a sneak peek at that too).

Jill Zarin is reported to have had many emotional breakdowns this season and confesses to crying during most of the filming for the show. Zarin’s feud with Frankel has been shown in the previews and will take center stage this season. Zarin’s husband Bobby was diagnosed with cancer after last season so Zarin has been through a lot but Bobby is doing just fine now.

Kelly Bensimon is celebrating her March cover for Playboy. The 41-year-old mother of two was excited to show her rock hard bod off to the world. Check out these photos to see just how rock hard it is.

Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen are back this season but it seems that viewers might have had enough of the odd pair. Rumors are swirling that they won’t be back for season 4. It seems that Alex doesn’t mesh well with the other housewives and viewers don’t really take a liking to the couple.
